There is always a great reason to visit Seattle —from the Classic Speedboat Show and Lake Union Wooden Boats Festival and the 4th of July Fireworks during the summer to the excitement of the holiday’s in downtown Seattle.
Marriott Lake Union Downtown Seattle Courtyard is only minutes from the Seattle Center– the original grounds of the Seattle World’s Fair– which has been transformed into a center for sports, arts and culture. The center includes a boarding area for the Seattle Monorail, the Experience Music Project (EMP), the Space Needle, Key Arena–home to the Seattle Supersonics and the Thunderbirds Hockey Team. Sports in Seattle:
Safeco Field–home of Seattle Mariner’s Baseball, Pioneer Square, the Port of Seattle, and Qwest Field–home of the Seattle Seahawks (we are a preferred hotel) are just south of the downtown and easily accessible by public transportation or on foot.

Seattle is also famous as the home of Nordstroms, and we also have the Westlake Center, Pacific Place Mall and Macy’s “the Bon Marche” and Pike Place Market with a wide variety of unique shops, if you are more in the mood for shopping.
