We are located on the western shore of historic Lake Union and just minutes from downtown Seattle and many of Seattle’s best attractions as well as the growing South Lake Union Park and business district which is quickly becoming a reality and the neighborhood is a hub of business activity as new businesses and restaurants move into the area.
Lake Union:
You can also enjoy compelling views of Lake Union and the downtown Seattle skyline–with Sea Planes taking off at our front door. We offer the perfect location for that before or after stay when going to the San Juan Islands or just enjoying the many water activities on Lake Union.
Lake Union Marinas:
Marinas can also be found around the perimeter of the lake along with Seattle’s famous houseboats (remember Sleepless in Seattle?). Lake Union’s unique location between the Puget Sound and inland Lake Washington makes it possible for boats to leave the confines of Lake Washington for the open water of Puget Sound.
Chandler’s Cove Marina, which is right next door, has 19 guest slips ranging up to 95 feet, and is the easiest moorage from which to gain access to Lake Union’s many waterfront restaurants, shops, Sea Plane rides and yacht brokerages. Lake Union also hosts one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in the country and is a popular destination for many Seattle residents.
Marriott Lake Union Downtown Seattle Courtyard is only minutes from the Seattle Center– the original grounds of the Seattle World’s Fair– which has been transformed into a center for sports, arts and culture. The center includes a boarding area for the Seattle Monorail, the Experience Music Project (EMP), the Space Needle, Key Arena–home to the Seattle Supersonics and the Thunderbirds Hockey Team.
